Founded in 1985 and deeply linked to authentic Made in Italy places, Fabiana Filippi combines tradition in the artisan manufacturing art and the love for excellence with a design and organizational vision. Design and production are 100% Italian located in the heart of the Umbrian hills. The brand is present in thirty countries around the world and its message is conveyed in the main fashion capitals: Milan, Paris, New York, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Amsterdam, Moscow … with an ambitious retail development plan that already counts several dozen mono-brand stores. The constantly growing revenue is rapidly approaching the 100 million euro with an export weight of over 75%.

NEEDS

The company information systems were based on AS400 with “tailored” sw and different “satellite” applications.

The need for governance and optimization of all processes and control of economic and financial management appropriate to the business and to business challenges, has led the company to decide an organizational renovation that could take advantage of a highly integrated Information System based on an ERP Enterprise.

SOLUTION

After selecting and choosing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 with the vertical Apparel & Textile Porini as the heart of the SI, we proceeded to the analysis and review of the processes also with a view to adopting the AX Best Practice.

Upstream, the UpSolutions PLS platform was chosen, integrated with AX.

For stores, the standard AX Retail stack was activated with complete management of the Back-Store and Front-Store processes (cash point).

BENEFITS

The Project is managed in a “modular” way so as to minimize the impact of the change on the Fabiana Filippi organization and synchronize with the seasonality and the characteristic phases of the Fashion & Retail business. In this sense, the choice was to start the stores through the new system and, in parallel, the design of the first upcoming A/W collection: in stores, the staff immediately improved the quality and speed of service towards the customers while the sell-out information as well as the Supply Chain processes are now fully consistent.

On site, product design automatically brings technical data to the heart of ERP for more efficient and timely planning both to sub-suppliers and to internal production.

In terms of management control, the first benefits will be measurable upon completion of the natural cycle of the business of the first collection.
